19-year-old fatally stabbed in East Rancho Dominguez – NBC Los Angeles

An investigation began in an unincorporated neighborhood of East Rancho Dominguez Wednesday after a 19-year-old was found with stabbing wounds.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to Butler Avenue near Compton Boulevard at 2 a.m. and found the stabbing victim.

The 19-year-old, whose identity was not released, was taken to a hospital but later died from the injuries.

The sheriff’s department said a person of interest was detained.

The incident does not pose threat to the community, according to the department.
