A Pontiac man is headed to prison for possessing pornographic images involving children.
At a hearing Tuesday in Oakland County Circuit Court, Judge Jacob Cunningham sentenced Matthew Brockway Kliewer to 68 months – 10 years behind bars for six counts of child sexually abusive material-aggravated possession. Jail credit of 92 days was applied.
Kliewer, 42, pleaded no contest to the charges in May.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Kliewer was arrested on April 13 after he called Oakland County dispatch, requesting a welfare check of his mother who was reportedly having medical issues. While deputies were at the home, they spotted printed images of child pornography in plain view, the sheriff’s office said.
A search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed, where additional pornographic images, various electronic devices including computers, gaming systems and a cell phone were confiscated, the sheriff’s office said. Thousands of child pornography images were stored on the electronic devices, the sheriff’s office said.
