Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help identifying a driver accused of fleeing the scene after a hit-and-run crash that caused an SUV to overturn and sent two people to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The collision happened around 12:30 p.m. on June 21 near the intersection of 7th Street and Magnolia Avenue, according to a news release from the Long Beach Police Department.
Investigators said a 2026 Honda Prologue was traveling westbound on 7th Street when it was sideswiped by a newer-model metallic blue Dodge Charger that was also heading west.
The impact caused the Honda to slam into several unoccupied parked vehicles before overturning, police said. The Dodge Charger driver allegedly continued driving without stopping.

Long Beach Fire Department crews responded to the scene and transported the Honda’s adult male driver and adult female passenger to a local hospital with moderate injuries, authorities said.
Collision Investigation detectives have since released surveillance images of both the suspected vehicle and driver in hopes that someone in the community recognizes them.
Police described the suspect vehicle as a newer-model metallic blue Dodge Charger with black five-spoke wheels.
The driver is described as a man in his early 20s who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 170 and 180 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a multicolored shirt, tan shorts, gray socks and gray sandals. Investigators also said he had blue braces on his teeth, diamond stud earrings and glasses with diamond accents on the hinges and bridge.
