The incident began when the suspect — identified as 48-year-old Gregory Ramos — showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s workplace and brandished what she believed to be a firearm, according to the Irvine Police Department.
According to police, Ramos then forced the victim into the truck, but she was able to escape. He sped off in his truck and was later located by Irvine police, authorities said.
