Offices for the Oakland County Clerk and Register of Deeds are closing early today citing concern for the health of staff and members of the public due to hazardous air quality, according to a press release.
The offices are located at 1200 N. Telegraph in Pontiac and 1151 Crooks Road in Troy.
At 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Accuweather reported Pontiac’s air quality index at 239, rated as very unhealthy. The AQI for Troy was 253, rated as dangerous.
There was no information on whether the offices would reopen on Friday.
