LOS ANGELES — The restaurant industry in Los Angeles hoped the World Cup would have a positive impact — and according to preliminary numbers, it did.
A report by Sunday, one of the leading restaurant payment platforms in the country, included the following findings about full-service LA restaurants:
12% more revenue overall
Average tip rates increased by 37%
An 11% increase in order volume
Overall time spent at the table went up slightly
Restaurant industry experts say this was the boost the LA restaurant scene needed after a rocky past six years.
