The Encinitas National Little League (ENLL) 13U Intermediate All-Star team recently put together an unforgettable postseason, winning the District 31 Championship for the first time since 2014 and advancing to the Section 6 Championship Game.

ENLL opened the tournament, which was hosted by Encinitas Little League, with a thrilling 7–6 victory over Poway before cruising to a 17–1 win over Encinitas Little League. The team then defeated Poway 11–3 in the District Championship to bring the District 31 banner back to Encinitas National after an 11-year drought, a news release stated.

Advancing to the Section 6 Tournament, which was hosted by Oceanside National Little League, ENLL rebounded from an opening loss to Scripps Ranch with dominant victories over Rancho Buena Vista (11–0) and North Park (15–3) to earn a rematch in the championship game. Although ENLL fell 17–9 to a talented Scripps Ranch team in the Section 6 final, the players finished the summer as Section 6 Finalists after one of the program’s most successful postseason runs in recent history, according to the news release.

Throughout the tournament, the Encinitas team demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and determination. From timely hitting and strong defense to unwavering support for one another, every player contributed to a remarkable summer and a season that will be remembered for years to come. A special thank you goes to the team’s volunteer coaches, whose enthusiasm, positive leadership, and countless hours of dedication made this memorable summer possible both on and off the field, the news release stated.
