(FOX40.COM) — Forward progress of a vegetation fire burning near Sacramento International Airport has been stopped after it burned dozens of acres on Friday afternoon, fire officials said.

Multiple fire agencies responded to the fire just after 2 p.m., according to the Sacramento Fire Department.

The fire has burned roughly 150 acres. One structure remains threatened by the flames but fire officials are “pretty confident” that they can keep the home protected, fire officials said.

While forward progress has been stopped, the fire is not yet contained, fire officials said.

Two aircraft are helping with the fire.

This is a developing story.
