Founded in 1972 by Don Turner, Turner Security Systems has remained a family-owned business for over five decades, growing from a local security company into a full-service provider of burglar and fire alarm systems, professional guard services, local monitoring and vehicle patrol services in communities throughout the Valley.
Today, the business is led by second-generation President John Turner, who officially joined the company in 1989 after growing up in the family business founded by his father. Turner now works alongside his sons, who are among the family members helping carry the company into its third generation.
Turner said being recognized as a Family Owned Business Awards honoree reflects the company’s decades of commitment.
“It’s a privilege,” he said. “It just shows the longevity of the company and perseverance, basically.”
Today, six family members work at Turner Security Systems, continuing the legacy established by founder Don Turner. With the next generation already taking on increasing roles within the company, the family is focused on preserving the values that have guided the business since its founding while continuing to grow and serve communities across the Central Valley.
