A man barricaded himself inside a townhome in Woodland Hills and set it on fire on Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to the two-story townhome with three units on Owensmouth Avenue near Burbank Boulevard for a domestic violence investigation at around 3:15 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police say the man was originally wanted on felony domestic violence charges.

A SWAT team responded at about 6 p.m., the LAPD said. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at around 6:40 p.m.

Aerial footage from NewsChopper4 showed heavy flames still coming from the building hours later as crews continued hosing it down.
