Ringer’s Roller Rink grand opening: To celebrate its grand opening, the new Ringer’s Roller Rink will host a day of free skating rentals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. After the community skating, there will be an official opening ceremony, a DJ and skating performances. Pawmicon PAWsplay: The 14th annual fundraiser invites pets and their owners to dress up in costume while supporting pet adoption efforts. Presented by the Helen Woodward Animal Center, the event raises funds to support the organization’s programs and services. Costume contest categories include “Flying Solo,” “Duos, Trios, and More,” and “Fantastic Floats.” Attendees can also enjoy activities such as a trivia booth and event merchandise. Comic-Con: Comics, superheroes, Japanese animation, vintage toys and cosplay fans will assemble in the San Diego Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter for the 2026 Comic-Con International. The yearly convention includes panel discussions, movie and television showings, an exhibitor hall, outdoor activations, a masquerade ball and more. Wednesday is Preview Night, followed by four more full days of entertainment and activities. Many events require Comic-Con badges, but others are open to the public. Wednesday through Sunday.
