Vote expected on Oakland “City of Refuge” plan to limit ICE access

A rally ahead of Tuesday’s expected “City of Refuge” ordinance vote, drew Oakland’s Mayor Barbara Lee, Council members Charlene Wang, Noel Gallo, and Ken Houston together with community groups and police to call for limits on ICE access to city property, an elimination of immigration status data on city forms, and other measures.
