Meshuggah members to appear at San Diego Comic Con for Transformers collab

Meshuggah members Tomas Haake and Mårten Hagström will appear at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The pair will sign for fans at the Reigning Phoenix Music/Stern Pinball booth, #4029, on Friday, July 24th at 3:30pm.

The appearance will coincide with the unveiling of a limited-edition Meshuggah x Hasbro’s Transformers shirt, celebrating both the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie and the 30th anniversary of Meshuggah’s Destroy Erase Improve.

The design takes inspiration from Megatron’s transformation into Galvatron in the 1986 animated film, a narrative thread the band connect to the album’s title and their own sound. The artwork was created by Transformers and G.I. Joe artist Ken Christiansen.

Reigning Phoenix Music will also mark the occasion with San Diego Comic-Con-exclusive splatter vinyl variants of Meshuggah’s remastered Destroy Erase Improve and Catch Thirtythree reissues.
