(KRON) — A brunch restaurant in San Francisco was vandalized early Monday morning. Four Chairs posted on social media that its front window was smashed at around 5 a.m., saying someone “deliberately” did so.

Surveillance video (above) appears to show a man throwing a rock at the restaurant’s front window (around the 0:03 mark). According to timestamps from the security footage, the unknown suspect is seen walking by the restaurant again.

Four Chairs, located in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood, also shared photos of the damage to KRON4. See images below.

“As a small local business, moments like this are incredibly difficult,” Four Chairs wrote in a social media post. “We pour our hearts, time, and savings into creating a welcoming place for our community, so seeing our restaurant damaged is truly devastating.”

“We’ll do everything we can to get things back to normal as soon as possible,” the restaurant added.

About three weeks ago, another local small San Francisco business was broken into. Out There Coffee Roasters in Lower Haight had its glass at the front entrance smashed. No injuries were reported in either incident.

Four Chairs opened in 2022 in the city’s Bernal Heights neighborhood — just a couple of blocks away from the iconic Mitchell’s Ice Cream. The family-owned restaurant has since grown its fanbase to more than 17,000 followers on Instagram.

KRON4 reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for more information about the incident. We did not hear back in time for publication.
