BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s help in finding a missing 17-year-old boy.

Police said on July 21, 2026, at 6:45 p.m., Lucas Joseph Pope was last seen in the 10000 block of Mohican Drive in northwest Bakersfield.

Lucas is described as Hispanic, 5’9” tall, 148 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.

He was wearing a black Quicksilver shirt, black sweatpants, brown slip-on shoes, with a black backpack.

Police said he is considered at risk due to being a first-time runaway.
