Oakland may finally be getting its own Costco.
Mayor Barbara Lee said the city has entered into exclusive negotiations with the chain.
The proposed Costco would take over the old Army base in West Oakland, just blocks away from Raimondi Park.
The exclusive planning agreement is good for two years.
If Costco does indeed move in, Lee said it will bring in $3 million in taxes each year for the city and create at least 400 jobs.
