NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Vanderbilt University is expanding with a new college on the West Coast.
The Jen-Hsun and Lori Huang College of Art, Architecture and Design will be the flagship college of Vanderbilt’s new San Francisco campus, launching in 2027. The college is supported by a $75 million gift from Jen-Hsun Hunag, the founder and CEO of Nvidia.

In a press release, representatives from Vanderbilt said that this new college opening is part of Vanderbilt’s mission to integrate art, architecture and design with technology and entrepreneurship.
With the opening of the new college, Vanderbilt is on the search for an inaugural dean. The college will offer a suite of both undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as classes for the greater community, precollege programs and lifelong learning resources.

The new San Francisco campus joins New York and Chattanooga. Vanderbilt New York City will welcome new students this fall, and Vanderbilt is also eying a campus in West Palm Beach.
