Northern California forecast: Impact Day for Sierra thunderstorms on Tuesday
Radar is busy with Sierra thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon.
It’s an Impact Day because of that.
Some of the stronger cells will have heavy rain, hail and lots of lightning.
A Flood Watch is in effect through 11 p.m. from the Tahoe basin through Mono County. Localized flash flooding is possible wherever storms produce heavy rainfall.
But any flooding issues will be more likely in Mono County and less likely in Tahoe, Meteorologist Heather Waldman said.

Depending on where you are in NorCal it’s either hot or stormy.

The storms will dissipate around sunset. Wednesday will be dry.
