Thursday forecast
Today’s valley highs are expected to reach upper 90s, which is still above the normal high of 93, but not as hot as the past few days.
Across the Valley, highs should peak in the mid to upper 90s with abundant sunshine.
Delta Breeze returns
After a couple of hot days, the Sacramento Valley is getting a bit of relief as a strengthening Delta breeze helps cool things down this morning.
It already feels more comfortable early in the day, and that cooling trend will continue through the day and this evening as onshore air gradually pushes farther inland.
Temperature trend
As the cooler and drier air arrives, temperatures are expected to come down enough for conditions to feel significantly cooler and more comfortable compared to the recent stretch of heat.

This weekend, monsoon moisture could return, which could bring more clouds and limited chances of mountain thunderstorms.

We are also watching tropical development, which could impact the amount of moisture our next monsoonal flow could transport into the region.
