Railyards ‘open house’ highlights downtown Sacramento development projects
Sacramento is hosting a free community open house at the Sacramento Valley Train Station’s North Plaza on Wednesday to showcase ongoing downtown development projects at the historic Railyards.
The area is buzzing with construction activity. A new Kaiser Permanente medical campus is taking shape, new streets and housing are being developed, and Sacramento Republic FC soccer stadium recently held its groundbreaking ceremony.
This site, acquired by the city 20 years ago, is now seeing visions of development become a visible reality.
It’s also the 100th anniversary of Sacramento Valley Station.
Representatives from the city, Kaiser Permanente, the Sacramento Republic FC, and the developer are scheduled to attend the event, which begins at 5 p.m.
Reservations were required and the event is now sold out.
