Comic-Con sweet treats: For the 10th year, Comic-Con is offering a custom line of four limited-edition chocolate bars at the San Diego Convention Center July 23-26. The new flavors are the s’mores-inspired Top Yum; the mint chocolate ganache-filled Mint Condition; the gluten-free and vegan Canyon Quest bars, made with sour cherries and seeds; and Daybreaker, a white chocolate bar with coconut-curry ganache, curry powder and hazelnuts. Sold at the Craft Chocolate Bar booth in Lobby 20, the bars are $12 each. Golden tickets hidden in four of the 7,000 bars will be redeemable for a $100 Starbucks card. comic-con.org
Ambrogio15 turns 10: Ambrogio15, the Milan-inspired restaurant and pizzeria in Pacific Beach, is marking its 10th anniversary July 30 with a Milan-style celebration. From 5 to 10 p.m., the restaurant will host a curated experience with a free welcome cocktail and an la carte Milanese dinner menu with optional wine pairings. Live music and DJs will be presented. Shores kicks off Aloha Thursdays: The Shores Restaurant at the La Jolla Shores Hotel has launched a summer Hawaiian-themed promotion from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursdays.
