PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Portland Bureau of Transportation will begin repaving NE Sacramento Street between Northeast 132nd and 148th avenues on Monday, July 27, as part of the city’s summer paving season.
The project will cover about 2.5 lane miles and is funded by Portland’s voter-approved 10-cent gas tax and heavy vehicle use tax, the bureau said in a Thursday release.
The street will be closed to through traffic during construction, with crews working from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on business days and possibly on weekends. PBOT said local access to homes and businesses will be maintained and sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.
Work is expected to continue through Aug. 13, though the schedule is weather-dependent. Officials urged drivers to expect delays, follow directions from flaggers and use alternate routes when possible.
