The Picklr is coming to Orange County.
The fast-growing Utah-based indoor pickleball franchise, which has sold 450 licenses nationwide, will open a 28,000-square-foot club in the former Bed Bath & Beyond at El Paseo Shopping Center in Rancho Santa Margarita on July 25.
It’s the first in Orange County.
The club will include nine indoor courts, a pro shop and year-round leagues, tournaments and clinics, company officials said.
Franchise owners Tracey Swanitz and Christy Deutschle also plan to open a 19,000-square-foot Picklr club in a former Rite Aid at 17904 Magnolia St. in Fountain Valley on August 22.
The Business Journal previously reported the sisters invested an estimated $3 million to convert the two former big-box retail stores into indoor pickleball clubs.
