Orange County authorities charged a man who is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl in Westminster than using her for child pornography, police announced Friday.
Nathan Robert Stubbs, 41, charged with eight sex charges as well as a count of using a minor in the sale or distribution of obscene matter or production of pornography, all felonies.
The Westminster Police Department said federal authorities had been tipped off about the child pornography, which prompted Westminster police to visit Stubbs.
The sexual abuse of the girl started when she was about 9 years old, according to police.
Stubbs, who did not enter a plea at his arraignment Friday in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana, was scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 11 in the West Justice Center in Westminster.
