A hit-and-run crash in Long Beach left two young people believed to be riding motorized bikes injured on Saturday, police said.
The collision happened near East Market Street and Elm Avenue just before 6:30 p.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Police say the preliminary investigation reveals a vehicle hit the two young people and left the area before officers arrived. The victims’ ages were not released.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, where one was being treated for a moderate injury and the other for critical but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
No details on the suspect vehicle were provided.
The investigation is ongoing.
