LA28, the committee organizing the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics Games, has launched a volunteer program to prepare for the event.

Attention, volunteers and sports fans! LA28, the committee organizing the 2028 Olympics and Paralympic Games, has launched a volunteer program in preparation for the international event.

According to LA28, volunteers will be an essential part of having a successful Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

With the new initiative, interested Angelenos will have the opportunity to help prepare the region of Los Angeles ahead of hosting the games. LA28 is looking to engage residents from the greater LA area in volunteer activities starting as soon as this year.

Officially called the LA28 Volunteer Program presented by Delta Air Lines, the organization is looking to involve the great community of Los Angeles in an effort to make L.A. a legendary Host City in these next Olympic Games.

“We are not waiting until 2028 to tap into Los Angeles’ resilience, generosity and grit. This unique initiative channels the spirit of volunteerism long before the Opening Ceremony, and we have the chance to create a model for future Host Cities, as well as a legacy for Los Angeles and the Games,” LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover said in a statement.

LA28 has launched the initiative two years ahead of time, hoping to offer volunteers a variety of roles, locations, and time periods to participate. Games will be taking place across municipalities, including Inglewood and Long Beach, among others.

“Our hope is that this program can be a catalyst for Angelenos to give back to the city they love, unite across communities and help build a stronger city together.”

Information about volunteer positions during the 2028 games is expected to come out in 2026. People interested in participating should stay up-to-date with LA28 to learn about opportunities as more information is provided.
