Lincoln Heights—A Lincoln Park Master Plan is in the early stages of addressing public safety, maintenance and historic preservation at one of L.A.’s first urban parks.
The LA Department of Recreation and Park (RAP) secured a committee and in June, the L.A. City Council gave the nod to apply for $800,000 in Measure A grant funding which can be used for ADA accessibility upgrades, new playgrounds and rehabbing infrastructure.

Awards will be announced this fall. After assessment, community engagement and prioritizing, adopting a Lincoln Park Master Plan could happen as early as 2031.
Other initiatives are on the docket to upgrade the park, most notably the Lincoln Park Neighborhood Green Street Network. This L.A. Sanitation project, funded by the County of Los Angeles Safe Clean Water Program, will boost water quality, install dry wells for flood mitigation and add miles of green streets around the park
