Motorcyclist severely hurt in late-night solo crash near Hart Park

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after a crash late Monday night on Alfred Harrell Highway near Hart Park.

The California Highway Patrol said on Monday, July 27, 2026, at around 11:04 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Alfred Harrell Highway and Lily Drive for a report of a solo-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

CHP said a 19-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Alfred Harrell Highway at the intersection with Lily Drive.

For reasons still under investigation, the rider of the Kawasaki lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a raised concrete curb.

CHP said the crash caused the rider to be ejected from the motorcycle. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was taken to Kern Medical.

According to CHP, alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to be a factor in this crash.
