The attack happened just after 3:00 A.M. Saturday morning.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Five men were hospitalized after a stabbing in Old Sacramento early Saturday, and an 18-year-old man is under arrest in connection with the attack, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The stabbings happened just after 3 a.m. near the intersection of K and Front streets, a busy area known for its businesses and tourists.

Sabin Timilsine, owner of Wonderland Gift Shop, said the stabbing happened a few stores away from his business.
“It’s disturbing. It’s surprising. It doesn’t happen like this often, so I haven’t heard anything like this for a long time,” Timilsine said. “But it’s something that shouldn’t happen here.”
Police said five men were stabbed and taken to hospitals, where they are said to be in stable condition.
Police later found and detained three men. One of them, 18-year-old Ezekiel Griffis, was later arrested on assault charges. Griffis is being held on $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
Police said they do not want people to feel unsafe in Old Sacramento.
“It’s a focal point of the city. A lot of people come down to visit. A lot of people live down there, work down there. So, in accordance with that, we are always analyzing what’s going on in the area and how we can best put resources in those areas,” Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Allison Smith said.
Visitors said the stabbing was concerning but that it would not keep them from enjoying Old Sacramento.
“Crime happens everywhere… as long as you try to take necessary precautions try to protect yourself and be aware of your surroundings, I think that’s the best that we could do,” visitor Sharon Takhar said.
