ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A semi-truck driver was arrested Sunday on cocaine charges in Escambia County following an inspection by the Florida Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement.

Mukesh Mani, 30, of California, is charged with felony cocaine possession. He was released from jail on $2,500 bond.

“Mani was the driver of a semi-truck and trailer displaying a handwritten tag with no state designation,” OALE says in a release. “The trailer’s registration had expired in 2021. Officers identified Mani through his California driver’s license.”

Authorities say narcotics detection K9 Mojo gave a positive alert, prompting a probable cause search of the cab. During the search, officers located a tube containing a white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine.

Mani was released from jail Sunday on $2,500 bond.
