Juvenile e-motorcycle rider arrested on reckless driving charges in Sacramento
Speeds of the chase reached up to 65 miles per hour
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A juvenile was arrested last week after riding recklessly on an e-motorcycle, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Officers said he drove past multiple stop signs near the area of Main Avenue and Raley Boulevard. When officers tried to stop him, the suspect led them on a chase. Helicopter footage estimated his top speed at around 65 mph.
Video footage shows the suspect abandoning his bike in an empty land plot near Bell Avenue Elementary School, over a mile away from the stop signs where the chase began. He hopped over a barbed wire fence to Pinell Street, where the foot chase continued.
Sacramento police said he was “quickly” detained and arrested on charges related to the pursuit.
