BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two men were arrested in a wire theft investigation, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant in the 8300 block of Fuller Avenue on July 9. Officials with KCSO said they located Angel Adan Garcia, 26, and Darryl Moody, 34, in possession of stolen copper wire as well as stolen vehicles which had been dismantled in order to sell parts.

Garcia was involved with multiple thefts in the Lamont area and Moody had been previously arrested for copper wire theft and possession, according to KCSO.

Deputies recovered the stolen wire as well as the stolen car parts.

Garcia was arrested on charges related to copper wire theft and vehicles, conspiracy, operating a chop shop and committing theft with priors.

Moody was arrested on charges related to stolen copper wire, conspiracy and drug possession.
