A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and severely injured in Westminster and the suspect fled, police announced Thursday.
Officers responded at approximately 1:25 a.m. Monday to the area of Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Avenue to reports regarding a crash involving a pedestrian, according to the Westminster Police Department.
A preliminary investigation revealed to officers that the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard. The pedestrian was treated at the scene and later taken to a hospital after sustaining severe, unspecified injuries.
Police said there was no description of the suspect vehicle, and detectives continued an ongoing investigation on Thursday.
