Things are not going as hoped for the Vans Warped Tour today following the announcement of their 2027 event, which will be held July 24-27th, 2027 at the Shoreline Waterfront in Long Beach, CA. Which loyalty passes are set to go on sale today Friday, July 31st at 12 PM local time.

However, reports are now surfacing that an attendee was severely injured during Thrice’s set on Sunday, July 26th at the Long Beach, CA edition of the Vans Warped Tour.

Initial information started gathering on the Warped Tour’s Reddit and subsequently the Long Beach Warped Tour’s Facebook group that David Granado Jr. was injured at some point during or around the time Thrice performed.

Granado Jr. attended the event with his brother Alejandro but shortly before the injury was sustained the two separated to see competing bands playing at the same time on different stages.

Based on Reddit posts made by Alejandro, he claims that David was admitted to the hospital shortly after 8 PM local time, but the two had not be in contact since separating he claims 90 or so minuted prior.

From what has been gathered by Alejandro via online help and comments, David walked himself to a medical tent and then shortly after was admitted to the emergency room. Doctors concluded he had a severe brain injury and had to operate on him multiple times. Though no concrete evidence has been shared as of posting this article.

The Granados have also had very little information from Vans Warped Tour regarding the situation. Via Reddit comments, Alejandro claims that David’s emergency contact was not contacted following him arriving to the medical tent or being rushed to the hospital.
