Ethan Salas doubled twice and drove in two runs in Triple-A El Paso’s 16-10 loss to visiting Albuquerque on Thursday.
It was the second game since Salas’ promotion to the Pacific Coast League. The 20-year-old Salas served as the DH during a three-hit game on Wednesday and on Thursday suited up as catcher.
Salas did commit a throwing error.
Right fielder Dustin Harris (.828 OPS) hit his second homer and doubled and left fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.788 OPS) drove in two runs on four hits.
Left-hander Jagger Haynes (18.00 ERA) walked four and allowed five runs in 2⅔ innings in the start.
El Paso is 44-60.
