The family of a San Francisco International Airport worker who died at the airport in January has filed a wrongful death lawsuit.

The family of 28-year-old John Lacayanga is suing the city and county of San Francisco, Ground Services International, and dnata USA.

On January 18, Lacayanga was found under a cargo pallet he had been towing on an airport road.
It’s not clear how he ended up there. He was working for dnata at the time.

Lawyers for Lacayanga’s parents said the defendants committed multiple acts of negligence and created dangerous conditions.

NBC Bay Area reached out to San Francisco and the companies named in the lawsuit for a response but did not immediately hear back.
