Missing Sacramento woman found dead in Washoe County, Nevada, police say
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A Sacramento woman who went missing Friday was found dead in Nevada, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Police said 88-year-old Nancy Vickers was last seen around 7:30 a.m. leaving her Sacramento home on the 2700 block of Portola Way in her tan 2024 Honda Accord. The vehicle was scanned by license plate readers in Douglas County around 11 a.m.
Vickers had the early stages of dementia, police said.
Police said Vickers was found dead Friday night in Washoe County. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office told police that her death was not suspicious.
“We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones,” police said. “We also want to thank our community for their concern and support in sharing information to help in this case.”
