Caltrans will close lanes overnight and ban parking around the clock along sections of State Route 2 in West Los Angeles, Hollywood and Echo Park beginning this weekend for curb, gutter and sidewalk work.
The restrictions run primarily from Sunday, Aug. 2, through Friday, Aug. 7, with work scheduled from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Parking will be prohibited 24 hours a day in the affected zones through Saturday, Aug. 8. Additional one-lane reductions are planned near Barry, Federal and Corinth avenues for bus pad replacement.
In West Los Angeles, up to two lanes of eastbound and westbound Santa Monica Boulevard will close between Federal Avenue and Cotner Avenue. In Hollywood, lane closures will affect Santa Monica Boulevard between North Van Ness Avenue and Gower Street, and between Seward Street and Mansfield Avenue. In Echo Park, up to two lanes of northbound and southbound Glendale Boulevard will close between Branden Street and Allesandro Street.
