The Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera have upgraded Ari Pelto to Music Director and Chief Conductor. He was previously Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor for the past three seasons.
Pelto grew up in Hartford, the son of two Finnish anthropologists at the Ubiversity of Connecticut. he went on to study conducting in Helsinki and Jerusalem.
