When everything is so expensive, here are some spots and their deals that won’t empty your wallet
In 2026, getting coffee from a local coffee shop tastes so much better — but it also costs way too much. Making coffee at home may be easier and cheaper, but it usually does not entail specialty cold foam or amazing syrups that make the flavor worthwhile.
If you don’t want to give up stopping for a cup on your way to work, but are also looking to avoid draining your life’s savings, here are four coffee deals and where to find them.
Tucked away inside Zion Market in Koreatown, Concerto Coffee has plenty of unique coffee and tea options for the usual prices seen in other cafes. However, right now, this little shop is running a promotion until Aug. 6. Anyone can purchase any signature latte or matcha with their original salt bread for $6, or upgrade to the cream salt bread combo for only $1 more. When most lattes anywhere, especially in L.A., can be $7 or more for mediocre quality, Concerto Coffee has 100% Kona coffee that is smooth and rich. Their soft, buttery salt bread is entirely addictive and their cream castella is so fluffy that it just melts in the mouth.
Philippe The Original has been around since 1908 and is widely known for their tasty invention of the French dip, but Philippe’s has much more to offer. They serve regular coffee for just $0.46, decaffeinated coffee for $0.75 and iced coffee to-go for $1.95, as if the price hasn’t changed in over a century. Almost all their drinks are this cheap, including the hot chocolate for $2.50, the cold brew for $4.50 and teas ranging from $0.95 for dine-in and $1.95 to-go. Despite most people nowadays preferring some specialty coffee with a thousand special ingredients in it, for those perfectly happy with a simple coffee, Philippe’s prices are the best you’ll find in Los Angeles.

Though it’s down in Santa Ana, this Vietnamese cafe offers different deals every month, like $1 matcha and specialty drinks if you buy one drink for full price. One of their popular menu items is the cold foam cream-top coffees with different flavors like sea salt, coconut lavender matcha, black sesame latte and more.
