In 2026, Corey Helford Gallery (CHG) is celebrating a landmark achievement: 20 years of championing artistic vision, fostering creative community, and helping shape the global landscape of New Contemporary Art.
To commemorate this milestone, CHG is presenting its “20th Anniversary Exhibition,” a special two-part exhibition series bringing together an extraordinary roster of artists whose works have helped define the gallery’s legacy over the past two decades.
The “20th Anniversary Exhibition” opens on Aug. 8, followed by a second edition on Sept. 19, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive series in the gallery’s history. Together, they will showcase newly created works by artists who have contributed to CHG’s evolution from a bold Los Angeles venture into one of the world’s leading destinations for fine art.
The anniversary serves as a tribute to the artists who transformed a gallery into a movement. Founded in 2006 by Jan Corey Helford and television producer and creator Bruce Helford, Corey Helford Gallery emerged during a pivotal moment in visual culture. At a time when many artists working outside traditional art world structures were seeking visibility, CHG became a home for creators whose work blended technical mastery, storytelling, popular culture, fantasy, surrealism and personal narrative.
Located in Downtown Los Angeles, CHG has become known for its commitment to artistic excellence, ambitious exhibitions, and unwavering support of artists across every stage of their careers. Through its programming, the gallery has helped bridge the gap between fine art and popular culture, creating opportunities for artists whose work resonates across generations and disciplines.
“Our 20th Anniversary is truly a celebration of the artists,” Jan Corey Helford and Bruce Helford said. “Without them, the gallery would simply be a beautiful building with empty walls. Every exhibition, every opening night, every milestone we’ve reached over the last twenty years has been made possible by the incredible creative community that has trusted us with their work and their vision.”
Since its founding, CHG has presented hundreds of exhibitions featuring many of the defining artists of the past two decades while producing landmark collaborations that have carried its bold artistic vision far beyond the gallery walls.
Among the gallery’s most memorable achievements are the internationally celebrated “Art From the New World” exhibition at the Bristol City Museum in England, “Charity by Numbers” benefiting the Alliance for Children’s Rights, the official “Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary Group Show” in partnership with Sanrio, “Frankenstein 200th Anniversary Group Exhibition” curated by Shogrin, “Kirbyvision: A Tribute to Jack Kirby” created in collaboration with the Jack Kirby Museum & Research Center; “Care Bears Forever” produced with CloudCo Entertainment, and “Toys as Art, Art Inspired by Toys” commemorating Mattel’s 80th anniversary.
The “20th Anniversary Exhibition” continues brings together a multigenerational group of artists who have played an integral role in the gallery’s history. Each participating artist has been invited to create a new original work in honor of the occasion, resulting in a collection that reflects the diversity, innovation and creative spirit that has defined CHG for two decades
Corey Helford Gallery is located at 571 S. Anderson Street in Los Angeles.
