August 3 – The San Jose Earthquakes have announced a new multi-year back-of-jersey partnership with DUDE Wipes, the fast growing personal care brand.

Starting with the Quakes’ August 1 match against FC Cincinnati, the DUDE Wipes logo will appear on the back of the MLS club’s first team shirts. The brand also becomes the club’s Official Wipe, with the partnership stretching into community programming, match day activations, digital content and fan engagement across San Jose.

“DUDE Wipes is a rapidly burgeoning national brand, and we look forward to introducing a number of activations together to support our local community and enhance the fan experience at PayPal Park,” said Earthquakes president Jared Shawlee.

The brand, for its part, isn’t taking itself too seriously, which is rather the point. “We’ve always believed the best partnerships happen when you don’t take yourself too seriously,” said Ryan Meegan, co-founder and CMO of DUDE Wipes. “Landing on the back of the Earthquakes jersey feels pretty fitting for a brand that always has your back.”

DUDE Wipes will be presenting partner of PRIME TIME, the Quakes’ rivalry match against LAFC at Levi’s Stadium on September 19, and the two are launching a Clean Sheets activation featuring giveaways whenever the San Jose defense records a shutout. The brand will also supply product to families at Bay Area community events.

“We’re eager to collaborate on initiatives that will positively impact our community,” added chief strategy officer Ian Anderson.

No value was given for the sponsorship.
