Northern California forecast: Hottest day of summer for Sacramento on Monday
KCRA 3 Meteorologist Tamara Berg times out the heat and how long impact days are forecast this week.
MONDAY PEAK HEAT
Impact days persist with another triple-digit day for Monday. Highs around the region reaching the hottest we’ve seen so far this summer.
Valley: 100-108
Foothills: 97-102
Sierra: 85-90
The heat wave will linger into Tuesday. When we hit the century mark or above three days in a row, it’s a heat wave for Sacramento.
Heat will ease slightly for Tuesday, but the highs are still forecast to hit the 98-103 range.
Onshore flow will increase by Tuesday night. This should signal cool enough flow through the Delta to shave down highs for Wednesday and Thursday. If we drop into the upper 90s, it would end our heat wave.
Heat will increase a bit more by late week as the high pressure dome moves back into our region by Friday.
