Police Records Room Renovation

Also on the agenda Tuesday is the renovation of Long Beach’s police records room, specifically the entrance doors.

According to the city council, Long Beach DPW issued a request for proposals and got back seven bids, selecting a bid from Lawrence-based Jlaid LLC. That bid, the city said, will run at a price of $249,960, and will cover a renovation that installs ballistic glass in the records room for security purposes.

The full city council agenda is available on the city website. Tuesday night’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be streamed on YouTube.
