An Oakland teen was charged in the assault and robbery of a juvenile, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.

Jaeden Roach, 18, was charged with allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old juvenile with a firearm, robbery, and felony child endangerment, prosecutors said.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, on June 25 at about 3:15 p.m., Roach was allegedly one of five suspects who hid themselves behind an apartment complex in the 3400 block of 68th Avenue in Oakland. The group allegedly waited for the 15-year-old to arrive, and then the juvenile was attacked and beaten with handguns, causing serious injuries.

Roach is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Oakland.
