Roseville escape room unlocks support for youth in Placer, Yuba & Sutter
The newest escape room option in the Sacramento region, Escapology, opened with a show of support for youth in need.
Amid smoke, green lasers and clocks — lots of clocks — Escapology opened its newest escape room location in Roseville, eight months after opening a location in Sacramento’s DOCO shopping area.
The reason for opening a second location in this area was clear.
“Because it was so darn successful downtown. We knew Roseville was such a regional hub, great demographics, people looking for things to do. We were just very excited to bring our brand of entertainment to Roseville,” said Burton Heiss, Escapology’s CEO.
Tuesday’s grand opening celebration at the Fountains in Roseville also came with a show of support focused on youth.
“It’s important we support the community we operate in,” Heiss said. “Our team lives and works here. Our guests live and work here. And we want to be a part of that, to find those in need and support them both financially and bring them in for a great experience. It’s part of our DNA and we’re happy to do it again here in Roseville.”
Escapology offered a $3,000 donation to CASA of Placer, Yuba & Sutter and an invitation to youth to try their skills at solving situations to make it out of the various escape rooms.
CASA supports and empowers foster children, at-risk youth, and families in crisis by connecting them with compassionate volunteer advocates who provide hope, guidance, and a pathway to stability and lasting permanency, according to their mission statement.
“Community partnerships like this are essential to our mission,” said Amy Sugimoto, CEO of CASA of Placer, Yuba & Sutter. “This investment helps us recruit, train and support volunteer advocates who stand beside children experiencing abuse or neglect. Every dollar raised brings us closer to ensuring every child who needs a CASA advocate has a caring, consistent adult by their side.”
The first 75 guests who attended Tuesday’s open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. received a free player pass.
The new location is located at 1017 Galleria Boulevard, Suite 120, in Roseville.
