The Maddy Institute is expanding the reach of its public affairs programming through a new partnership with KVPR that will bring “The Maddy Report” to radio and podcast audiences across the Central Valley.

The collaboration rebrands the institute’s existing radio and podcast program, formerly known as “The Maddy Report: Valley Views,” under the unified “The Maddy Report” name used for its television program. The move creates a single platform spanning television, radio and podcasts.

The television edition will continue airing on ABC30, while the pilot radio broadcast on KVPR is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16.

Hosted by Blake Zante, executive director of The Maddy Institute, the program features interviews with policymakers, community leaders and subject matter experts discussing issues affecting the San Joaquin Valley.

“We are excited to bring ‘The Maddy Report’ to even more listeners across the Central Valley through KVPR,” Zante said in a statement. “By bringing together our television, radio and podcast programming under one trusted name, we are making it easier for community members to access important discussions on Valley issues.”

KVPR General Manager Joe Moore said the partnership reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to nonpartisan public service.

“Both KVPR and The Maddy Institute work every day to create a more informed public in the Central Valley region,” Moore said. “We’re excited to bring ‘The Maddy Report’ to our airwaves.”

The organizations said the expanded program will continue providing conversations on local and state issues while supporting The Maddy Institute’s mission of promoting informed civic engagement throughout the Valley.
