An evening walk in California took an unexpected turn after a couple discovered an injured hawk lying in distress.Initially believing the bird was a crow, Amy Toy quickly realised it was a hawk in need of urgent help. Concerned after hearing coyotes nearby, they carefully coaxed the bird into a pet crate before transporting it to a 24-hour emergency veterinary clinic.The hawk is expected to continue its recovery at a local wildlife rehabilitation centre, where it will receive specialist care before eventually being released back into the wild.
