UPDATE (4:25 P.M.): According to the CHP’s website, the fire jumped to the other side of the interstate. All southbound traffic is being diverted off at Frazier Mountain Park.

UPDATE (4 P.M.): According to the CHP’s Traffic Incident Information Page, northbound Interstate 5 near Smokey Bear Road is closed. Traffic is being diverted back to southbound. The SignAlert has been issued for one hour, according to CHP.

Evacuation warnings have been issued due to a fire burning off Interstate 5 near Gorman.
CalFire said the so-called Ridge Fire is burning east of Interstate 5, near Gorman School Road in Gorman.

It has burned 100 acres, according to CalFire.
The fire is south of the ongoing Buzzard Fire.
