LONG BEACH – The Long Beach Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a string of burglaries over the last week.
LBPD detectives have been investigating a series of incidents, which they determined follow similar circumstances and have a similar suspect description. In each of the incidents, a male adult suspect shattered a glass window of the business or a vehicle and stole miscellaneous items.
Detectives believe the suspect is responsible for incidents at the following locations:
10/26/2025 – 420 Cherry Avenue – Commercial Burglary
10/26/2025 – 2201 Lakewood Boulevard– Commercial Burglary
10/28/2025 – 913 E Wardlow Road– Commercial Burglary
11/1/2025 – 2211 E 7th Street– Commercial Burglary
11/2/2025 – 2841 E Anaheim Street– Commercial Burglary
11/2/2025 – 2700 block of Spaulding Street– Vehicle Burglary
On Nov. 3, 2025 at approximately 10:03 a.m., while patrolling the area of Anaheim Street and Dawson Avenue, officers saw the suspect and recognized him from security footage as the burglary series suspect. They safely arrested him.
The suspect was identified as Raymond Edward Billingsly, a 34-year-old resident of Long Beach, who was booked for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and a probation violation.
He is currently being held without bail for the probation violation.
These cases will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for felony filing consideration.
